Description
The Manager of Enterprise & Cloud Infrastructure has responsibility for the implementation and operations of Information Systems within the University of Virginia Health System (UVAHS). Accordingly, the Manager is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the implementation of strategic Information Systems initiatives to preserve the availability, integrity and confidentiality of Health System information resources.
The Manager of Enterprise & Cloud Infrastructure's primary duties will be to manage and support infrastructure and initiatives related to on-premises systems infrastructure to support the Clinical, Research, and Teaching missions for UVA Health System. This position works in conjunction with the existing Enterprise & Cloud Infrastructure leadership team, and requires extensive experience managing staff, projects, and ongoing operational support.
This position provides management oversight of installation and support of Microsoft operating systems and applications, Hyper-V virtualization, IIS, Apache, Microsoft SQL, MariaDB/MySQL databases, Clustering, server & storage hardware, integrations with Microsoft Azure cloud services, and oversight of datacenter maintenance and operations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience: 7 years of demonstrated experience in related area with at least 5 years of leadership preferably in information technology within the healthcare industry. Excellent oral and written communication skills are critical to success in this position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
