Must Have: Project Engineer, Substation, PE, Relay commissioning, Protection & Control layout

Job Overview:
The Project Engineer III is responsible for mentoring engineering and CAD teams in physical layout and protection/control design. This role serves as the sealing engineer for most project deliverables and maintains customer relationships, including support for future business development. The position reports to the Divisional Manager and plays a critical role in ensuring project success and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Mentor and schedule work for junior engineers and designers.
• Act as the customer point of contact for active and upcoming projects.
• Perform engineering calculations and direct project design using industry standards.
• Prepare complex documentation, including specifications and bid packages.
• Conduct detailed drawing reviews to ensure clarity and design accuracy.
• Oversee and train Project Engineers I and II.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for project tasks.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of applicable experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Proficiency in substation engineering, including physical layout, protection and control (P&C), relay settings, and commissioning.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and CAD staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Client-facing experience.
• Experience developing proposals, specifications, and bid documents.

Pay Range: $130K- $160- yearly
