Working closely with other departments, you will have responsibility for the overall success of each project working through the full SDLC including defining and analyzing system problems and designing and testing solutions. This role will develop information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather requirements and provide accurate and realistic project milestones and timelines for completion.
  • Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
  • Analyze and document business requirements and processes to construct conceptual data and process models
  • Document and create system specifications from user requirements.
  • Design and build applications for the iOS and/or Android platforms
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
  • Proactively suggest new features and functionality of existing apps to improve performance and usability.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with either React Native OR Xamarin or both
  • C# for the backend
  • Proven experience publishing applications to an app store and ability to communicate the process.
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning 
  • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks 
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services. 
  • Comfortable with Git and source control 
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools
  • Familiarity with 3rd Party API integrations such as Facebook, Dropbox, Instagram, Twitter, Google Drive, Bluetooth, Keychain, etc.
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • Knack for benchmarking and optimization
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial or SVN
  • Familiarity with continuous integration
