Job Summary:

We are actively seeking an experienced IT Software Asset Manager & Vulnerability Analyst for a hybrid contract opportunity based in Harrisburg, PA. The ideal candidate will be a Pennsylvania resident, capable of managing enterprise-wide software and hardware asset lifecycles, ensuring license compliance, and remediating vulnerabilities using tools like Tenable/Nessus.

This role requires a strong background in IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Licensing, Audit & Compliance Reporting, and Vulnerability Management in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the software asset management lifecycle from procurement to decommissioning.

• Ensure compliance with vendor licensing and optimize software spend.

• Analyze and remediate risks and vulnerabilities using asset and security tools.

• Provide strategic recommendations and reporting to executive stakeholders.

• Maintain accurate software portfolios and hardware inventories.

• Process asset management requests using ticketing systems.

• Support internal/external audits with timely reporting and documentation.

• Collaborate with the Enterprise Security Office (ESO) for Nessus configuration and scanning.

• Contribute to roadmaps and vulnerability management workflows.

• Review and improve internal policies, controls, and documentation for audit readiness.

Technical Skills & Tools:

• ITAM Tools: ServiceNow, SCCM, CMDB

• Vulnerability Tools: Tenable, Nessus

• Reporting & Documentation: MS Excel, SharePoint, Executive Dashboards

• Ticketing Systems: ServiceNow or similar

• Strong understanding of software licensing, compliance metrics, and audit requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or related field

• 2 4+ years experience in IT asset management, contract/license compliance, or IT operations

• Proven track record in managing IT asset lifecycles and compliance

• Experience creating and maintaining documentation for audits and business continuity

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
