Description:
Our client, an industry leader in telecommunications, has an excellent opportunity for a Mobile Device Test Engineer to work on a 12+ month contract opportunity. Work will be a hybrid on-site/remote schedule in Englewood, CO. The Mobile Device Test Engineer is responsible for the development and engineering activities supporting wireless device technologies. This candidate plays a key role in evaluating new technologies and services prior to the integration and deployment into our client's network.

Rate: $50 - $60 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
The test engineer creates strategic test plans that ensure performance and stability of Wireless products in the client's network ensuring the highest levels of customer and operational satisfaction.

Technologies you will be supporting including 5G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth on Android and iOS devices.

You will collaborate with Network Architects and Product Development on business and technology requirements and assess vendor solutions to address the requirements.

Work with Network Architects to create detailed test plans and certification curriculums, proof of concept trials, and methodologies for analysis of performance criteria.

You will develop test procedures for execution by cross-functional teams of device testers in external labs, oversee the execution of these tests, provide testing status to management, debug software and hardware issues in a lab environment, and work with device vendors to track and resolve issues found during testing.

Experience Requirements:
Min 5+ yrs of Experience with different Cellular/Mobile Devices based on iOS

Strong knowledge of 3GPP 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE mobile technologies and architecture.

Good understanding of 3GPP standards; signaling call flows, Layers 1/2/3

Develop and execute device test plans, and validate Mobile device cellular feature capabilities 5G, VoNR, VoLTE, VoWiFi, LTE)

Experience with different cellular modem chipsets - Qualcomm (QCOM), MediaTek (MTK), Samsung (LSI), etc

Experience with modem logging/analysis tools such as QXDM, QPST, XCAL, XCAP

Familiarity with SIM / eSIM design and provisioning flows

Experience in testing Wi-Fi and Passpoint configurations (HS2.0/802.1x/WPA3)

Basic programming skills, especially on Python

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
