Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate, Java/ Scala Developer in New York, New York
Work as a Software Engineer with expertise in developing distributed systems. Leveraging knowledge graph and semantic system solutions for various business use cases. Applying expertise in Java, Python, Kafka, Stardog and other related technologies to architect and implement scalable systems applications. Designing and building semantic application utilizing search, machine learning and vector dataset to enhance information recommenders. Collaborating with architects, clients, and business analysts to create efficient software addressing various business use cases. Developing SPARQL queries, scripts and SHACL validations to support batch data ingestion from multiple sources, utilizing Kafka to achieve near real time ingestion solutions. Building and implementing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded distributed applications and tools, using object-oriented design principles in Java and Python technology stack. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $151,819 and $176,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation in the technology field. Requires One (1) year experience with: Java; Python; Kafka; Stardog; SHACL; SPARQL; SQL; NoSQL; Neo4J; Docker; Kubernetes; Jenkins; Spark; ontologies; observability; Automation and cloud technologies; Search, Machine learning, and Vector dataset; and object-oriented design principles.
