Job Duties
ISS is looking for an Integration Developer to analyze, design, program, test, and support web-based applications in order to provide technical support to the Division of Purchases & Supply. This development will primarily use BizTalk for the secure exchange of electronic data with agencies and local governments and for internet applications, including data exchanges with the Commonwealth Procurement application eVA and its procurement modules. This includes the administration and operation of a data message broker as well as the design of highly efficient interfaces using service-oriented architecture concepts.

Job Duties

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Providing technical guidance on eVA interface and integration and on Biztalk projects, and maintaining necessary systems documentation for projects and maintenance activities on systems.
- Developing recommendations and plans to support the existing and upcoming eVA interface and integration infrastructures, BizTalk Integration/Interface modules, and external electronic data exchanges.
- Coordinating with business stakeholders to define project requirements and schedules, and monitoring project schedules and task completion.
- Monitoring the day-to-day operations for eVA integration, eVA interfacing, and message broker activities including acknowledgement receipts, error tracking, and exception handling processes.
- Testing, validating, and applying software upgrades, bug fixes, and patches.
- Developing interface file specifications transmitted in XML, JSON, CSV, or other acceptable electronic file formats.
- Identifying and customizing message definition files, including triggered events and dynamic requirements.
- Using mapping tools to develop inbound and outbound message formats.
- Preparing schemas for the inbound and outbound messages, maps, and orchestration.
- Creating and maintaining certificates for secure messaging.
- Analyzing, designing, coding, and testing DPS-related web applications.
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Biztalk or Azure Integration Services.
- Extensive experience developing files for inbound/outbound communication in JSON, XML, or CSV.
- Experience with IIS, digital certificate management, client authentication techniques, PKI, and SSL for use with file encryption.
- Experience with using Oracle tools to parse, load, and/or extract data from core systems.
- Experience with data mapping and orchestration.
- Knowledge of relational database design.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and test electronic exchange of data.
- Knowledge of various communication protocols for electronic data exchange.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop technical user documentation.
- Ability to develop, query, and utilize web services.
- Experience with API development.
- Highly proficient in PL/SQL and T/SQL.
- Knowledge of various secure data transfers and file encryption techniques.
- Experience with entity relationship diagrams and data flow diagrams.
- Knowledge of e-procurement systems.
