Understand various tools and organization units involved in Asset lifecycle and optimize the Asset Management process to work successfully though various tools for a complete asset lifecycle management
- Ensure that the Administrative staff responsible for Asset Receiving and Asset Tagging understand and execute their responsibilities properly. This is important because in most organizations, these responsibilities vest outside the IT teams and may require additional training, documentation and sometimes even staffing
- Receive inputs from the customers about the legal and statutory requirements and insure that the Asset Management Process provides for compliance. For example: decommissioning and Asset disposal requirements
- Work with the tools administration staff, Asset Database administrator and Configuration Management Process owner to optimize the rules relating to Asset discovery, reconciliation jobs and promotion of the updates to the Golden or Production Data set of the Asset Database
- Plan and drive the long term Asset Management strategy and Phases of the Asset Management rollout plan of the customer and OMC in consonance with the Configuration Management strategy and plans. This is important because mostly the database and data model used in the tools for holding Asset information is common between the Asset Management and the Configuration Management applications/modules
- Devise the Asset management audit schedules, tools and offer governance for the procedure of correcting identified deviations along with identification and implementation of the preventive actions
- Acquire complete understanding of the Asset Management Process as designed or transitioned by the Process Transition consultant from CFS Process Consulting group
- Obtain the baseline documentation of the Process and Tools including additional other documents as signed off and approved by the authorized customer representatives
- Follow formal version and change control methods as agreed with the customer representatives
- Host the read-only versions of the released documentation at the designated secure, backed up and access controlled documentation repository of the OMC and issue formal communication to the OMC staff announcing such release
- Simplify process documentation in order to make it easily understandable for operations staff at the point of use
- Identify and suggest changes to the Foundation data in the tools
- Analyze and suggest tool customizations in the interest of process workflow optimization
- Work with the tools teams to standardize reports
- Open formal RFCs and work with Tools teams in order to implement customizations and improvements in the tools for process augmentation
- Track tool customizations, affected functionalities and document the release notes in order to conserve the audit trail
- Document the use cases, test cases and test reports formally and participate in release management for the augmentation and upgrades of the tools
- Communicate to all relevant teams (including supporting vendors and customers), the SLA targets as agreed in the service contracts and as configured in the tools as Service Performance Targets
- Generate and publish process performance reports periodically, analyze the root cause of performance shortfalls against committed SLA performance targets and internally tracked KPIs to initiate improvements
- Periodically review the process to maintain currency of knowledge, contact information and relevance to the changing business context, policies and priorities
- Receive, analyze and incorporate feedback from customers that suggest improvements
- Align the Process to the standards and methods as per the Service Management Practice issued from the CFS Process Consulting group
- Communicate to the resolving groups, the importance of specific process activities and how they can be best executed along with the information that they must log and update in the tools
- Actively participate in programs that identify process and service management (ITIL) training needs for the operations staff
- Work with the Technology Tracks to insure that they understand their responsibilities in context of the organization s Configuration Management policy and procedures
- Periodically educate Technology Tracks on how to use the relationships in CMDB in order to maintain and manage the Infrastructure more efficiently
- Execute the responsibilities of a Configuration Coordinator/Librarian if the volume of changes does not warrant a resource support
- Prepare for Configuration Audits to cover both: The infrastructure that is discoverable and the infrastructure that is not discoverable using the discovery tools
- Define and produce the Status Accounting reports in line with the requirements of the customer and OMC Management staff
- Work with the Configuration Management Process Owner/Manager to expand the scope of CMDB as per the organization s Configuration Management Plan
- Define the CMDB Access policy and approve/reject the requests for special access requirements as and when they arrive, in accordance with the access policy

A candidate s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
