Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Workday Platform Operations Lead to oversee the health, performance, and governance of our Workday tenant across multiple business units. This role leads tenant configuration, release management, and centralized invoice operations, with a strong focus on system monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Workday Financials, HCM, and integrations, along with a proactive approach to platform governance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Platform & Tenant Management
  • Manage core Workday tenant configurations including organizational structures, foundational data, and business processes.
  • Continuously monitor system health and performance metrics; proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Drive platform optimization through automation, usage analytics, and best practices.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability across Workday modules including Financials, HCM, and Procurement.

Release & Change Management
  • Lead planning and execution of Workday's biannual feature releases.
  • Evaluate new features for business relevance and cross-functional impact.
  • Coordinate regression testing, validation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Maintain detailed release documentation and change logs.

Operational Oversight
  • Manage platform updates, patches, and tenant refreshes.
  • Lead centralized invoice processing workflows and related integrations.
  • Enforce governance, compliance, and security standards across platform operations.
  • Collaborate with Workday Engineering, Security, and Architecture teams on access controls and incident response.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to six years of relevant experience

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Workday platform administration, with strong emphasis on Financials and HCM.
  • Proven expertise in Workday integrations (EIB, Studio, Web Services) and release lifecycle management.
  • Experience with system health monitoring tools and automation frameworks.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with centralized invoice workflows and shared services models.

Preferred Skills
  • Exposure to Workday Extend and Prism Analytics.
  • Experience with Apigee, SSO, and cross-functional integration support.
  • Background in platform governance, incident management, and enterprise architecture.

Location Expectations

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
