Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Director to lead cloud strategy, infrastructure implementations, and AI-driven initiatives for a high-performance trading environment. This role combines technical leadership, business development support, and deep execution capabilities across cloud, data center, DevOps, and AI platforms. The ideal candidate has a track record of building scalable, secure, and resilient systems for finance and trading organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Strategy & Execution: Define and lead multi-cloud and hybrid architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), ensuring scalability, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance.

  • Infrastructure Leadership: Oversee data center integrations, networking, storage, and high-availability systems supporting low-latency trading environments.

  • AI & Advanced Analytics: Implement AI/ML platforms for risk modeling, algorithmic trading, and predictive analytics. Collaborate with data science and quant teams to operationalize models.

  • DevOps & CI/CD: Lead modern DevOps practices, driving automation with Jenkins, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC (Terraform/Ansible). Ensure rapid, reliable deployments.

  • Business Development Support: Partner with leadership to evaluate client infrastructure needs, present solutions, and assist in pre-sales and client-facing discussions.

  • Security & Compliance: Implement industry best practices in cloud security, regulatory compliance (FINRA, SEC, SOX), and disaster recovery/business continuity.

  • Team Leadership: Mentor engineers across cloud, DevOps, and infrastructure domains, while remaining technically hands-on in critical projects.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years in infrastructure/cloud engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.

  • Proven background in financial services, trading systems, or capital markets infrastructure.

  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid cloud/data center strategies.

  • Hands-on skills in DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible).

  • Strong knowledge of data center operations, networking (low-latency), and high-availability design.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure (model deployment, MLOps, GPU/accelerated computing).

  • Excellent communication and business development support experience (client-facing, proposals, technical presentations).

  • Knowledge of finance/trading regulatory standards and security frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with quant teams, algorithmic trading desks, or financial SaaS platforms.

  • Certification(s) in cloud technologies (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Architect).

  • Strong background in disaster recovery planning and global infrastructure rollouts.
