Description
SAIC is looking for an experienced Network & Communications Manager to join our team supporting the US government agency in the National Capital Region. The Network & Communications Manager has a pivotal role in being responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, security, and efficiency of the organization's various network and telephony services, with a focus on Tier 2-3 system support and a diverse range of critical systems, the Network & Communications Manager is integral to maintaining a robust IT environment. The role collaborates closely with other infrastructure and application teams and manages escalating complex challenges to their higher-level specialists when needed. The Network & Communications Manager will manage Infrastructure supporting applications and systems within the customer's multi-faceted network infrastructure, spanning multiple platforms residing on multiple technological enclaves.
The responsibility for these services includes incident and problem management, response and escalations, patch and upgrade management, on-call rotation, responsibility for a 24x7 NOC, and overall operational management of the network and telephony services and team. This also includes future-planning, coaching, and development of the team, and working with peer teams to investigate and resolve issues as needed and participating in DR exercises. The ability to interface and work with the customer professionally and exhibit leadership qualities is paramount.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate must have experience interfacing with customers to quickly and efficiently resolve issues.
The candidate must have a working knowledge of Cisco devices including Catalyst switches and routers, ISR routers, Nexus Switches, Cisco ASA and FMC, Cisco ISE, and Cisco Prime
The candidate must have experience with incident management, and monitoring and managing incidents and outages in a critical, 24-7 operational environment
Provide leadership and oversight Network monitoring and IT service management tools.
Knowledge of and experience with circuits, networks and networking devices (LAN/WAN)
Oversee Azure network technologies including Virtual network, firewall, private links, App gateway, and Private endpoints.
Provide management over F5 load balancers (LTM)
Direct and support the Telephony Cisco VOIP devices (Unified Communications) including UC Manager, Unity, Contact Center Express, Comstice, and Finesse.
Management of Infoblox DNS, DHCP and IPAM (DDI)
Oversee the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Undergraduate degree with 9 years of experience in IT Infrastructure systems and Application
One or more current industry recognized certifications (Advanced Cisco, PMP, etc.)
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
