Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Training Provided)
Shifts:
2:00 PM 10:00 PM (Rotating Weekends)
10:00 PM 6:30 AM (Rotating Weekends)
Hours: 40 per week
About the Role
We re seeking a Communication Center Operator who thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment and delivers calm, professional communication support under pressure. You ll serve as a vital link in hospital operations managing calls, messages, and emergency communications for physicians, clinicians, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Professionally answer and route incoming calls and messages
Complete and manage paging requests for hospital personnel
Quickly connect callers to departments or individuals
Provide patient information per hospital policy and compliance regulations
Maintain and update on-call schedules and contact directories
Support emergency and disaster communication procedures
Handle other essential communication center duties as needed
Skills & Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Experience: Prior switchboard or call center experience preferred
Healthcare experience is a plus
Strong multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to stay composed in high-pressure or emergency situations
