Job Description

We are seeking a Lead SDET to drive the design, development, and implementation of advanced automation frameworks with Playwright and AI-powered testing strategies. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to mentor teams while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate will balance hands-on coding with guiding strategy and innovation in automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the automation strategy, design, and implementation of Playwright-based test frameworks.

  • Define and drive adoption of AI/ML-driven testing practices to enhance test generation, coverage, and maintenance.

  • Collaborate with QA, development, and product teams to align automation with business and technical goals.

  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and code reviews for SDETs and QA engineers.

  • Ensure automation is embedded in CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous testing.

  • Drive quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting for leadership visibility.

  • Research and introduce next-gen AI test automation tools and practices.

Required Skills

✔️ 10+ years in QA/SDET roles with at least 3+ years in a Lead or Architect capacity.
✔️ Strong expertise with Playwright and solid coding skills in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python.
✔️ Proven experience leading test automation strategy, framework design, and team mentoring.
✔️ Hands-on experience with AI-driven testing platforms (e.g., Testim, Mabl, Functionize) or custom ML solutions.
✔️ Deep understanding of CI/CD, DevOps pipelines, and Agile delivery.
✔️ Strong knowledge of API testing, microservices, and databases.
✔️ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

➕ Cloud test execution (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
➕ Experience with Docker/Kubernetes for scalable test environments.
➕ Exposure to GenAI/NLP-based test generation.
➕ Knowledge of performance testing (JMeter, k6).
