Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and influential Marketing & Engagement Manager with expertise in IT Service Management and the ITIL framework. This role combines adoption marketing, social influence, and deep familiarity with Microsoft platforms to drive awareness, understanding, and consistent use of ITIL practices. The ideal candidate is both a skilled communicator and a trusted internal influencer who can create momentum across digital channels and in-person engagements.

Influencer and Community Builder - experience creating relationships, leading adoption efforts, hosting information sessions to gain both engagement and adoption, strong ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
ITSM/ITIL knowledge - ability to clearly communicate the importance, value, and benefits in a structured, accessible, and easy to understand manner - bridge the gap between understanding ITSM and the rest of IT

Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Organizational Change, or related field.
2. 5+ years' experience in marketing, digital communications, or IT service management communications.
3. Strong knowledge of the ITIL framework and ITSM principles (certification preferred).
4. Proven ability as a social influencer within organizations, with examples of successful adoption or engagement campaigns.
5. Hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365 platforms: Teams, SharePoint, Viva Engage, Outlook campaigns, and Power BI reporting.
6. Excellent communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
7. Creative mindset with ability to build trust and credibility across diverse audiences.

Success Criteria
1. Increased engagement with ITIL messaging across Microsoft channels.
2. Growing awareness and understanding of ITIL principles at all organizational levels.
3. Documented adoption of ITIL-aligned practices, measured via surveys, analytics, and ITSM maturity assessments.
4. Vibrant ITIL community of practice with active participation and peer-to-peer influence.

Key Responsibilities
1. Awareness & Influence
Act as a trusted internal "social influencer," building excitement and credibility around ITIL adoption.
Create authentic, engaging narratives that resonate across multiple audiences and channels.
Use Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Viva Engage (Yammer), and other digital platforms to share stories, thought leadership, and updates that promote ITIL value.
2. Education & Engagement
Develop content campaigns (short posts, videos, infographics, podcasts) that simplify ITIL concepts into relatable, digestible messages.
Host live or recorded sessions, webinars, or "Ask Me Anything" events on Microsoft Teams to educate and inspire adoption.
Build and nurture communities of practice using Microsoft tools, creating a space for peer learning and advocacy.
3. Adoption Campaigns
Design adoption strategies that connect ITIL practices to business outcomes.
Partner with ITSM leadership and communications teams to deliver campaigns across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Leverage gamification, recognition, and storytelling to drive participation and showcase ITIL success stories.
4. Measurement & Optimization
Track engagement metrics from Microsoft tools (Teams analytics, SharePoint traffic, Viva reporting) to measure adoption effectiveness.
Collect user feedback to continuously refine messaging and campaigns.
Report adoption progress against ITIL maturity goals.
5. Collaboration & Influence
Work closely with IT leadership, service owners, and HR/communications to align messaging.
Partner with Microsoft platform owners to maximize digital reach and engagement.
Cultivate and coach ITIL "champions" who can amplify the message across their own networks.
