Our challenge
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Business Analyst to support mutual fund trading operations and middle-office functions. The ideal candidate will work closely with Technology, Business, and Operations teams to understand requirements, facilitate integrations, and drive strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing order execution, confirmation, and settlement processes.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $120k - $125k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of mutual fund trading and middle-office functions supporting order execution, confirmation, and settlement.
- Collaborate with Technology, Business, and Operations teams to gather requirements and drive strategic platform and business goals.
- Participate in technical design discussions to ensure solutions meet specifications and facilitate cross-system integrations.
- Document functional requirements, system integration API details, data model specifications, support test plans, and define User Acceptance Criteria.
- Lead projects through development, testing, and deployment phases by coordinating teams, managing expectations, and addressing requirements.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and reengineer workflows for increased efficiency.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, potential delays, or risks.
- Demonstrate motivation, eagerness to learn, and collaborate effectively with a global team.
- 10+ Years experience as a Business Analyst.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, Physics, Math, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and stories, ensuring stakeholder expectations are met.
- Strong communication, detail orientation, and analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic business environment.
- Proficiency in writing, updating, and executing SQL queries; experience with UML use case diagrams.
- Understanding system architecture, design, domain data models, and system integration.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and development life cycles.
- Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with business partners and team leads.
- Solid understanding of Agile SDLC and experience with process diagramming and project management tools.
