Job Description

Are you passionate about leveraging cutting-edge AI/ML technologies to revolutionize drug discovery and development? The Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics, Metabolism, and Bioanalytics (PDMB) department of Research Laboratories is seeking a Senior Scientist specializing in AI/ML to support efforts in transforming the way PDMB leads the assessment of drug candidates. The successful candidate will join a dynamic Data Science team focused on bringing AI/ML approaches to bear to improve the speed and quality of decision-making in drug discovery and development. PDMB aims to leverage Generative AI (GenAI) to enhance document authoring processes, thereby improving efficiency and compliance in regulatory submissions.

The candidate will play a key role in developing, implementing, and optimizing GenAI approaches to streamline the creation and quality control (QC) of regulatory submission documents. The candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team working closely with other research functions across our Company's global organization. The position is a key collaborator with principal investigators and lab-based colleagues.

Primary Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy GenAI models to automate the compilation and QC of regulatory submission documents and reports .
Collaborate with principal investigators and lab-based colleagues to ensure the integration of GenAI solutions with PDMB's scientific processes.
Work with data engineers and architects in IT to build a data infrastructure that supports PDMB's scientific questions and enhances data-driven decision-making.
Ensure the clarity, accuracy, and conciseness of regulatory documents to facilitate the review process.
Implement strategies to leverage GenAI for improving document quality and consistency.

Education Minimum Requirements:
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Chemical Informatics, Engineering, or related fields

Required Experience and Skills:
Proficiency with statistics, algorithm design, and/or machine learning models.

Skilled at GenAI, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and manipulating high-dimensional big data.

Expertise in programming languages including Python, R, SQL, and/or JavaScript.
Keeps current with emerging trends in GenAI and drug R&D.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate documentation.

Preferred Experience and Skills:
Knowledge of Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry.
The ability to influence scientists to adapt to positive change.
Experience with regulatory submissions and understanding of the review process.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected US salary range:
$126,500.00 - $199,100.00
