The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of how to translate complex product requirements into an elegantly coded, usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable web and mobile application.
The Lead Engineer will be working in an agile environment, with both onshore and offshore teammates, as well as with our leadership team, using iterative and cutting-edge development methods through AI and automation tools.
How you will do it

You will collaborate with offshore and onshore teams and must be a self-starter having a thorough understanding of REST and SOAP services, ReactJS or other comparable front-end platforms, RDBMS systems and SQL, Microsoft Azure software development and deployment tools, design patterns, and deployment strategies.
You will report to the Customer Experience Delivery Leader and work closely with Product Owners, Solutions Delivery Leads, Solutions Architects, and partner companies as we deliver a fresh and modern customer experience portal to Johnson Controls North America customers. You'll also be expected to make recommendations on interacting with legacy programs, create design documents to illustrate software components, provide best practices on back-end service construction, review source code delivered by developers, create and update database schemas and queries, and be able to read and interpret a current code base. You will provide recommendations and strategies on accelerating delivery of products, using AI/ML or other technologies.
