Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Platform Administration and Maintenance:
- Administering and maintaining BI platforms like Qlik Sense, Tableau, Quick Sight etc. on AWS.
- Configuring, monitoring, and optimizing platform performance, capacity, and availability.
- Managing user roles, permissions, and security policies
- Handling platform upgrades, patches, and migrations.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, debugging, and tuning for optimal performance.
- Data Management and Governance:
- Connecting and managing various data sources.
- Implementing and enforcing data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data policies.
- Monitoring scheduled data refreshes and troubleshooting failures.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborating with BI developers, data engineers, and business users to ensure efficient platform usage.
- Providing support to development teams for onboarding, setting up workspaces, migrating objects, and participating in deployment reviews.
- Providing technical support to users and resolving issues related to system access, performance, and software.
- Automation and Optimization:
- Automating routine administrative tasks using Python and Shell Scripting.
- Implementing Continuous Improvement and Automation opportunities.
- Developing dashboards for monitoring capacity planning and platform resiliency.
Skills:
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau, Quick Sight.
- Exceptional Knowledge of AWS cloud.
- Strong coding experience (Python, Shell Script).
- Strong knowledge of database management systems and SQL.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
- Ability to monitor platform performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
