Job Description

This includes developing process flow diagrams, creating layouts, prototyping, and conducting result evaluation. The role offers an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams using the latest automation, processes, and computer vision technologies in a fast-paced environment with direct influence on Ford's next generation vehicle production.

Responsibilities:
  • Ideate, test, and implement new processes and technologies to deliver efficiency improvements to Ford's existing and future manufacturing operations.
  • Research existing methods and propose new approaches that add value to production processes.
  • Perform rapid physical and digital prototyping to test technology solutions and new processes.
  • Design and develop manufacturing process flows, facility layouts, and optimization strategies for adoption of latest requirements and technologies to achieve efficiency improvements.
  • Develop data-driven models to inform strategic and engineering decisions related to key future vehicle manufacturing options. Present findings to management, executives, and stakeholder teams.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentation and demonstration for team reviews, MTD SAR meetings, and executive reviews.
  • Collaborate with teams at MTD, MP&L, VOME and other stakeholders to identify, define, and validate requirements and KPIs for simulation and concept development.
  • Lead and contribute to projects through Concept Ready (CR)/Application Ready (AR) milestones.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Final Assembly Manufacturing engineering or operations experience
  • Engaged, curious and self-driven
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with cross functional teams to develop consensus

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous project management experience
  • Microsoft Project experience
  • Understanding of Ford finance processes (Ariba, iERP)
  • Prototype design and development experience
  • Experience implementing new automation systems
  • CAD design experience
