What You'll Be Doing :

Lilly has developed an internal gen AI platform that allows development teams to unlock the full potential of AI while ensuring security, compliance, and a future-proof foundation for their AI journey. The platform offers a comprehensive LLM model library, allowing teams to choose from the latest and greatest language models or custom fine-tuned models. And teams can take advantage of reusable capabilities and automation to increase productivity and focus on more complex and creative work.

As a Product Manager for this platform, you will be at the forefront of helping Lilly harness the power of LLMs and associated technologies to impact every aspect of our business . You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, execute, and refine a platform strategy and to orchestrate , launch and scale new features . This role requires a combination of technical depth , vision and strategy , market analysis, feature prioritization, and a deep understanding of developer / user needs .

What You Should Bring:

Strategy and v ision:
  • Refine and articulate a compelling p latform vision , strateg y , and roadmap - incorporating leadership objectives , subject matter expertise , market research, competitive analysis, technical feasibility, intuition, etc.
  • Define and monitor metrics that inform broad and impactful adoption of gen AI tools at Lilly


P latform / product d evelopment:

  • Partner closely with technical leadership (architect, tech SWE lead) on ideation, maintaining roadmap and well refined backlog, development, and launches
  • Work with engineering team to ensure development velocity and unblock ( e.g., brainstorming technical designs, clarifying user stories and backlog priorities)


Developer / u ser e xperience:

  • Stay closely connected to platform user s ( aka Lilly software developers ) via informal discussions, formal UX research, feedback tools, etc.
  • Ensure priority product and developer needs are well represented in platform roadmap / backlog


Cross-functional Collaboration and Communication:

  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders such as research, clinical, marketing, sales, support, and other teams to ensure product success and alignment with company goals.
  • Communicate product plans, benefits, and results to all stakeholders
  • Explore new use cases, new users , and evangelize to drive awareness and adoption / usage


Market analysis

  • Monitor and analyze market trends , staying informed of the latest developments in gen AI technology and compelling use cases
  • Perform competitive analysis to identify opportunities to help make technology adoption and priority decisions


Your Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of product management experience in a high-tech, life sciences, or related field
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product or platform throughout its lifecycle


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience in software development in life sciences, medical device, or similar environment with regulation a nd quality management systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled at working closely and effectively software engineering teams
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset
