Job Description
We are looking for a Project Engineer to manage and deliver engineering projects successfully. This position will be full-time, 12-month contract, and on-site.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the creation of project plans outlining scope, budget, and schedule
Lead assigned capital projects, including standalone projects and projects within plant outages
Manage all engineering, design, and construction resources
Develop estimates, funding documents, schedule, and ongoing forecasts for plant-executed projects within SAP
Ensure projects undergo process hazard reviews and operational readiness inspections, completing recommendations timely
Adhere to inherent process safety in all project designs
Provide field supervision/support during project execution
Manage project safety, ensuring projects meet budget and schedule.
Ensure projects meet customer operability needs
Basic understanding of operating plant environment and quality standards of client
Ensure thorough and precise project documentation
Act as the central contact for project activities
Manage resources to align with project goals and timelines
Track milestones, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
Conduct reviews for compliance with standards and regulations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate project components.
Facilitate communication and problem-solving
Conduct Safety Kickoff Meetings and ensure adherence to Safety Standards
Communicate safety goals and complete short-term contractor BSP forms and JSA reviews daily
Participate in the Safe Work Permit process and lead daily safety/toolbox meetings
Report incidents immediately and ensure contractors submit an Emergency Action Plan
Participate in Safety Sampling and Critical Safety Audits
What You’ll Need

Required:

10-20 years in engineering projects with successful delivery.
Strong project management, technical, organizational, and planning skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; Technical degree (Chemical/Mechanical Engineering preferred)
Obtain TWIC, passport, and pass refinery background checks
Travel required 25-45% depending on projects
Flexible work schedule when supporting project execution, otherwise typical 40-hour workweek
Ability to work independently, maintain professionalism, and promote teamwork
Demonstrates problem-solving, calmness in demanding situations, and constructive attitude
Completes tasks timely and efficiently
Preferred: 5-10 years in maintenance/engineering disciplines.
PMP certification preferred.
Manufacturing plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects experience.
