Job Description

The Systems Mapping, Process Mapping, VSM Engineer, Business Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing and optimizing business processes, with a focus on the Order to Cash (OTC) process across diverse product lines. This position will support high-impact strategic projects, including Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system replacements, by leveraging expertise in system analysis, value stream mapping (VSM), and process optimization. The ideal candidate will excel in cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • System and Process Analysis: Conduct in-depth system analysis and process mapping for the Order to Cash process across multiple product lines, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Value Stream Mapping (VSM): Facilitate collaborative VSM sessions with cross-functional teams to align processes, uncover bottlenecks, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Strategic Project Support: Contribute to major initiatives, including PLM (e.g., Agile to Enovia) and ERP (e.g., Oracle to SAP) system replacements, by performing process analysis, risk identification, and stakeholder communication.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Develop and automate Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking using tools like PowerBI, providing real-time visibility into process performance, and enabling data-driven strategic adjustments.
  • Process Optimization: Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and enhance sales order execution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, supply chain, IT, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and processes, fostering alignment and effective communication.
  • Project Management Support: Utilize Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps to track project progress, manage milestones, and ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
  • Documentation and Training: Create detailed process documentation, engineering standards, and training materials to support process adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMP, CPIM) preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience in process mapping, value stream mapping, or business analysis, preferably in manufacturing or HVAC industries.
    • Proven track record in supporting large-scale ERP or PLM system transitions (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Agile, Enovia).
    • Experience with Order to Cash process analysis and optimization.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in process mapping and VSM tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart).
    • Expertise in data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Advanced Excel).
    • Knowledge of BPMN principles.
    • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
    • Knowledge of ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and PLM (e.g., Enovia, Agile) systems.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong cross-functional team leadership and stakeholder communication skills.
    • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
    • Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Lean Six Sigma principles.
