Job Title: Nutanix Solutions Engineer - 242355
Position Type: Contract to Hire
Work Location: 100% remote - EST Hours
Duration: 6 months, then full-time conversion
Compensation: $125,000 - $135,000 / year + benefits



ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THIS ROLE

Our client is a large healthcare organization with ~200 sites of care throughout the US. They recently implemented Nutanix AHV and are seeing a product expert to help them build and deliver new notes/clusters and features in the product.


This is a contract to hire position - expected to convert after 6 months. Candidates must be eligible to work for our client without the need for sponsorship now, or in the future.


Please also note that the work location is fully remote in the US, working EST hours. Some travel may be expected to the South Eastern US region - but is not regularly expected.



RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Serving as a Product SME for Nutanix - focused in solutions engineering (no administration / support responsibilities)

  • Spinning up new nodes / clusters in Nutanix

  • Recommending and introducing features from Nutanix to solve real-world problems

  • Building out Nutanix from the ground up - configuring, deploying, validating, and documenting, and then handing off for 3rd party monitoring and support

  • Problem solving issues related to the network, servers, and business applications

  • Monitoring system performance, providing escalating engineering support, and ensuring high availability of services

  • Collaborating with the Networking and Security teams to implement security hardening and monitoring.

  • Configuring and managing the patching and updating of all on-prem infrastructure hardware and supporting the on-premises video conference room hardware, software, and updates.

  • Developing automation scripts for efficient system management - using Pulumi and Terraform



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL SKILLS



  • 3+ years of Nutanix AHV Product experience

  • Nutanix NCP Certification preferred

  • Expert in HCI and VMware Infrastructure

  • Peripheral experience with Storage, DR

  • Prior Healthcare experience a plus!
