Job Summary:

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for application discovery and assisting the various IT integration and transformation efforts with identifying critical business applications, 3rd party service providers and business workflows of existing and newly acquired partners. The IT Business Analyst works collaboratively with various partner stake holders, integrations, infrastructure, business applications, and cyber security and other various client teams to avoid downtime for partners during integration go live events.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Full understanding of the IT program, portfolio & activities in accordance with the mission and goals of Client and alignment of acquired company's needs.
  • Integration Identify and assess the various business applications, 3rd party service providers and workflows utilized by partners and collaborate with various IT silos that leads to a mature and efficient run state.
  • Training work with Success coaches to help develop training materials and job aids.
  • Line of Business Support Understand business and revenue model end-to-end, which includes system alignment and optimization, both current and post integration run state.
  • Risk Management Work with Cyber security to analyze current risk state and assist to optimize risk management including vendor approval state.
  • Service Management Work with ITSM to analyze current ITSM service levels and work to optimize as various waves of integration occur.
  • Financial Management Analyze current financial run state and measure against integration ROI.
  • Identify business applications used by the partners and how they integrate with Client s various IT offerings.
  • Identify service provider vendors used by partners and their IT requirements for continued successful execution of their services after a migration event.
  • Review Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) approval status of applications and vendors and assist with early vendor approval process.
  • Understand the requirements and dependencies of the business applications.
  • Create documentations and communicate the requirements and dependencies to IT teams.
  • Help with maintenance and creation of SOPs and run books.
  • Develop and maintain ROI s for integration in Financial, Risk and Service Management.
  • Collaborate with potential stakeholders to identify specific needs and direct market analysis to determine viability and return on investment projections.
  • Manage risks and issues and taking corrective measurements.
  • Coordinate the projects and their interdependencies.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of the Insurance business operations, Claims administration, and revenue cycle.
  • Familiarity with the business application and vendors utilized in the insurance business. This includes CMS, rating programs and ancillary products.
  • Ability to elicit technical requirements and lead discovery sessions geared to uncovering essential details surrounding business processes.
  • Identifying means and methods of enhancing the productivity and efficiency of business workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, responsiveness, and active listening skills. Successfully translates technical terminology to language that is easily understood and applicable to business priorities.
  • Adaptable to new tools and resources. Experience collaborating using M365.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Adaptable.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, adjusting as needed
  • Must be willing to travel.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor s Degree (required) with an Information Technology emphasis (strongly preferred.)
  • 5+ years of Technology experience within a complex IT environment with 3+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience applying project management best practices, integration or stack rationalization with design-thinking approaches.
  • Experience using key performance indicators, metrics and data/predictive analytics to support planning, decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Experience implementing technology stacks: Microsoft, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon, Line of Business and ERP (Workday, ADP, SAP, Deltek, Oracle, NetSuite, etc).
