Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings):
Hardware Engineer II. Designing, creating and realizing next-generation servers and embedded hardware that run Akamai's platform; Building, troubleshooting, and hands-on debugging of prototype computers, PCBs and embedded systems; Working closely with industry partners and internal stakeholders to design performant, efficient, and reliable systems; Specifying, implementing, and validating embedded software and firmware functions for system bootstrapping; and Understanding and implementing new technology standards used in computing and Networking. Required Qualification:
\n
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Telecommunications Engineering, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role. Must have: Two (2) years of experience in the following: Wi-Fi, LTE, WinSCP, Fileszilla ,CAN, Linux, Windows, C/C++, Ubuntu/Visual Studio, RTOS, Jira, CI/CD, SQL, servers, and GPU.

Compensation:
\n
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $138341 - $154614/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
\n
The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
