Common Missile Compartment (CMC) Program is looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join a team of Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT) members to contribute to various projects at various stages throughout the system lifecycle.
The successful candidate will serve as a key Systems Engineering team member with a focus on integration with other FBM Contractors and Customers in front facing meetings representing CMC Systems Engineering. The selected candidate will be instrumental in coordinating and supporting cross-functional working groups, integrating input across engineering domains, and ensuring that system-level requirements are met, and milestone impacts from engineering activity needed for verification are understood and communicated. Additionally, the candidate may support various CMC projects that are in manufacture and test phases to integrate across key stakeholders.
As a CMC Systems Engineering Integrator, you will be:
Supporting and facilitating cross-functional working groups across customer and contractor teams.
Developing, analyzing, verifying, and managing system-level requirements throughout the program lifecycle.
Development of documentation for socialization of CMC system solutions for interfaces to other FBM contractors and Customers are generated using appropriate DOD OD and SSPINTS
Coordinating verification activities, including analysis, testing, and demonstration with internal and external stakeholders.
Organizing and integrating objective evidence development and documentation from domain experts.
Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and assess technical risks, and develop mitigation plans
Generating clear, concise technical documentation and status reports for program stakeholders.
Developing documentation to support working groups, including meeting minutes, action items, and decision records, to gain concurrence and ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned
Support as needed on engineering efforts within a variety of CMC projects for milestone reviews
Basic Qualifications
Experience in generating and managing technical data products, integrating across functional engineering organization
Familiarity with the System lifecycle
Familiarity with milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
Desired skills
Bachelors degree in Engineering and 1 year of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree.
Proactive self-starter with ability to complete assignments with general direction
Familiarity with FBM
Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions, facilitate working group meetings, and negotiate technical requirements
Master's Degree in relevant field
Electrical engineering or Mechanical engineering experience
Familiarity and experience with Artificial Intelligence
Familiarity with Augmented Reality
Familiarity with risk and opportunity management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and creatively
Active DOD clearance

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
