RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Systems Engineer III in Chicago, IL.
Summary:
The Systems Engineer will be supporting GES tiger teams in the field by serving as project lead in investigating MHE performance issues, leading daily meetings, sending daily and weekly reports, and driving long-term corrective actions with upstream partners including engineering and design teams.
Duties:
* Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions and processes for the sortation and transportation network through process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations
* Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time
* Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors
* Effective communication skills, ability to execute the vision, detailed roadmap, and specific technical solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
* Stakeholder Management/Project Management experience
* Technical Writing and Documentation experience
* Root Cause Analysis experience
* Engineering background/education
* Lean 6 Sigma experience
* Root Cause Analysis experience
* Relentless passion for frugality and out-of-the-box engineering
* Strong system troubleshooting skills
* Ability to work independently, or with stakeholders on technical projects
Highly Desirable Attributes:
* Experience in building SQL queries is desirable, but not needed
* Previous experience with Material Handling Systems, Mechanical, Electrical or Controls or Systems development Engineering
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
