Salesforce Inc. seeks Senior Manager Software Engineering in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Drive the execution and delivery of Salesforce Visual Code extensions adhering to industry coding standards and best practices by collaborating with many multi-functional teams, architects, product owners and engineers. Work on seamlessly integrating Salesforce's AI capabilities into development workflows of Salesforce VS Code extensions. Make critical decisions that contribute to the success of the product. Partner with Product Owner to align with objectives, priorities, tradeoffs and risks. Ensure teams have clear priorities and adequate resources. Empower the delivery team to self-coordinate. Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members. Constantly innovate and look for opportunities to improve products, systems, tools, processes and codebase for the Salesforce Integrated Development Environment tools. Be a multiplier and have a passion for team and team members' success. Daily management of stand-ups as the Scrum Master for Salesforce IDE Experience team. Participate in architecture discussions pertaining to design and implementation of Salesforce VS Code extensions features and planning. Participate in multi-functional coordination, planning, and reviews with leads from other engineering teams. ?HQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline, and four (4) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field OR Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline, and six (6) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Cloud CRM Products; (2) Microsoft VS Code extensions; (3) AI technologies and their applications; (4) Salesforce APIs including metadata API, Tooling API, REST API and other Salesforce developer tools like the Salesforce CLI; (5) Salesforce technologies - Lightning Web Components, Apex, Aura, VisualForce, SOQL and Flows; (6) Salesforce Apex language; (7) Language Servers, parsers and compilers; (8) Enterprise architecture principles; (9) Object oriented programming with Java or Python; (10) Agile/scrum methodology; (11) software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, SCM, CI, build processes, testing, and operations; and (12) Public Cloud platform such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Azure. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary: $184,000.00 - $276,100.00 per annum.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $184,000 to $276,100.
