VMO - Software Big Data Operations Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Big Data Operations Engineer with our client in the financial Industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 24+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering
• Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted, longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented elements
• Contribute to the resolution of multifaceted situations by applying a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel across various levels of the business and technical organization

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent (through work, military, consulting, education, or training)
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Hadoop
• 4+ years of experience with Teradata
• 4+ years of experience with MongoDB
• 4+ years of experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• 4+ years of experience with GitHub
• 4+ years of experience in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting projects and programs
• 3+ years of experience with Python, Unix/Shell scripting, Scala, Spark, HBase, Oozie, Flume, Druid, and Kafka
• 3+ years of experience with Ansible
• 3+ years of experience with Airflow and Autosys
• 1+ years of experience with Dremio
• 2+ years of experience setting up monitoring dashboards using Grafana or Prometheus
• 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes

Pay Range: $60-70
