This will empower even a new developer to find and fix issues in their first days on the job, as easily as they can call an API today.

As we work with our early users to shape the product, we're looking for a full-stack, 0-to-1 product designer to bring our product to life. The main responsibilities for this role include doing user interviews to clarify the product definition and user needs, working with users and the rest of the team to align on user journeys, and solving challenging information architecture problems to design a magical, easy-to-use product experience for developers. If you're looking for a challenge that takes your career to the next level, this is the role for you.

about our vision.
What You'll Do:
  • Develop and execute research plans to develop personas and user journeys for a 0-to-1 product for two kinds of research: 0-to-1 research to understand the state of the world without our product, and user testing to understand where to improve our product. Drive alignment across the team on user needs and UX goals.
  • Design a new product in a new category with heavy information architecture needs completely new kind of product. Work with Product to define requirements, make recommendations on product functionality, research comparable products, and conduct user interviews.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering. Run meetings, lead jam sessions, and create artifacts to drive collaboration and alignment across the entire team around design goals.
  • Work with product and engineering to define team processes, roadmaps, and research plans that most effectively help us reach our goals.
  • Iterate with alpha users on a weekly basis to continually improve the product.
About You:
  • You love hard UX problems. You get obsessed with understanding complex user needs in order to create simple, intuitive user experiences. You have strong UX research and prototyping skills.
  • Thrive in a scrappy environment, always eager to determine the simplest way to test the next feature. You don't mind interrupts and can pull together quick demos when needed.
  • Experience leading information architecture design for complex frontends displaying lots of data. You don't necessarily need experience working with developer/devops dashboards specifically; financial apps are an example of a different kind of dashboard with similar data needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. You'll be working closely with our entire engineering team, synchronously and asynchronously.
  • We're moving fast, so we're looking for someone based in the Bay Area who can come into the San Francisco office at least once a week.
