Quality Engineering Manager
Location: San Francisco, CA
Full Time/Permanent

Position Description
GSPANN is looking for a quality engineering leader to help our customers with their quality engineering initiatives & goals. This role is based out in USA & will report to Head of Quality Engineering & DevOps. You will be working with a team of highly skilled QE practitioners who have experience across various domains & technology landscape.

Responsibilities

Account Management:
You would be responsible for managing multiple accounts and large teams. These teams will be delivering solutions to the customers which includes functional testing, automation, accessibility, performance, usability and more.

Client Engagement:
Your role as the client manager's point of contact will be to understand the client's expectations, be aligned to the roadmap, and give the client confidence through consistent and high-quality deliverables. In addition to the project delivery, you will also focus on the margins, hiring, escalations and account growth. You will be expected to have enough governance measures to track, correct course, and keep all key stakeholders informed.

Your experience solving challenging problems, embracing good practices will help us scale and be prepared for future challenges.

Technical expertise
You will help teams design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable solutions across quality criteria. Being mindful of the test pyramid, you will identify and guide teams to use the right approach and tools (both open source and commercial). In a continuous collaboration with your team members, you will improve techniques, tools, and QE processes, you will brainstorm ideas, and communicate your status and progress.

You will be reviewing the work of your colleagues, mentoring them, providing feedback, and continuously improving yourself. We need innovation, creativity, and solutions that will have a significant impact on our growth. We, in turn, will give you autonomy and freedom to turn your ideas into reality.

 Requirements

  • Have 14-20 years of quality engineering experience on consumer facing applications/products.
  • Have 10+ years of experience in test automation using open source as well as commercial tools.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to solve complex problems by considering multiple solutions, weighing them, and deciding on the best course of action.
  • Thrive on providing and receiving honest but always constructive feedback.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to deliver on time with quality
  • Know how to have fun, keep everyone engaged and enjoy delivering solutions to the customer
