Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior PEGA Developer with strong hands-on expertise in PEGA platform development and specialized experience in end-to-end PEGA version upgrade projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8+ years of PEGA development experience, including 3 4 years dedicated to PEGA upgrades, covering planning, impact analysis, rules modification, testing, and deployment.

This role supports Truist and offers remote or hybrid flexibility. However, occasional travel to Charlotte, NC will be required based on client needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute end-to-end PEGA upgrade initiatives including impact analysis, rule resolution, refactoring, and regression testing.

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain PEGA applications following best practices and guardrails.

  • Analyze existing PEGA architecture and recommend improvements or upgrade strategies.

  • Collaborate closely with architects, business teams, and QA to ensure seamless migration and deployment.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to rules, integrations, performance, and compatibility during upgrade cycles.

  • Create and update technical documentation, upgrade plans, and deployment artifacts.

  • Ensure compliance with PEGA guidelines, application guardrails, and performance benchmarks.

  • Support production issues related to upgrades and enhancements.


Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience as a PEGA Developer.

  • 3 4 years of mandatory experience in PEGA upgrade projects (end-to-end cycle).

  • Strong knowledge of PEGA platform, rule types, case management, data pages, integrations, and UI components.

  • Experience upgrading between major PEGA versions (e.g., from 7.x to 8.x, 8.x to 8.8/8.9).

  • Proven ability to perform upgrade impact assessment and rule remediation.

  • Understanding of PDC, deployment manager, and PEGA DevOps pipeline.

  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with distributed teams.

  • Excellent communication and client interaction skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • PEGA CSA / CSSA certification.

  • Experience with cloud-based PEGA implementations.

  • Exposure to the financial services domain is a plus.
