Job Description:
Parsons' Data Architects serve as consultants to the business unit in long-range planning concerning new or projected areas of technological research and advancements. You will have the opportunity to enhance existing system and modernize legacy systems to a state-of-the-art level using leading-edge technology. Our Data Architects are expected to drive strategy to attract/obtain major new business and apply their expert experience to oversee team efforts that provide analyses and assessments of system requirements, processes, and methodologies to enable total system integration and performance while meeting cost, schedule, and technical objectives.

Our Data Architects are expected to drive strategy to attract/obtain major new business and apply their expert experience to oversee team efforts that provide analyses and assessments of system requirements, processes, and methodologies to enable total system integration and performance while meeting cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Demonstrate your skill in navigating requirements through various commands and non-Parsons contracts that are not to achieve the goals of the program.
- Coordinate integration activities between teams on this contracts and external teams in the USMC and federated teams across the DOD.
- Continuous evaluation of existing technology and designs for opportunities to enhance reliability, improve maintainability, reduce cost and/or increase capabilities.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- TS/SCI
- A BS in data or computer sciences, or higher; lack of degree can be supplemented w/ 2+ additional years experience
- 5+ Years of experience architecting integration solutions using messaging, ETL, and streaming platforms such as Confluent/Kafka, Cribl, TIBCO, NiFi, Informatica.
- 3+ Years hands on programming in data integration or database development.
- Experience with Database Technologies: Proficiency in various database systems (SQL, NoSQL, cloud databases) and data modeling techniques is important.
- Data Management Skills: Strong understanding of data governance and data quality
- Architecture Frameworks: Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as DODAF, TOGAF, Zachman, or other relevant methodologies for designing scalable data architectures.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex data requirements and translate them into efficient data architecture solutions.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Experience with MinIO or other on-premises object store technology.
- AWS experience is highly desirable. Experience with any other hyperscaler is also valuable.
- Understand or prior experience with Big Data Platform or other big data technology such as Cloudera.
