Job Title: Mainframe Developer
Location: Tampa, FL (5 Days Onsite)

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience working with COBOL and other mainframe technologies, and will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing legacy systems that support key business functions. You will work with a wide array of mainframe tools and technologies to develop and maintain high-performance, reliable applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain COBOL applications on the Mainframe platform.
  • Work with CICS, DB2, VSAM, and MQ to build and support mainframe applications.
  • Perform debugging and troubleshooting of applications using tools like Expeditor and File Aid.
  • Work on both online transaction processing (OLTP) and batch processing systems.
  • Develop and maintain stored procedures, using tools like Endevor for version control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance new features for mainframe systems.
  • Ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable application development.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Mainframe development, specifically with COBOL.
  • Expertise in CICS, DB2, VSAM, and MQ for transaction and database management.
  • Experience with debugging and troubleshooting using Expeditor, File Aid, and Endevor.
  • Strong experience with batch processing and online transaction processing (OLTP).
  • Knowledge of mainframe tools like CA-7, NDM, MFTS, s-FTP, and XML.
  • Ability to analyze, design, and maintain large-scale mainframe applications.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with REXX, SAS, or Cloud Exposure is a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Knowledge of batch processing and large-scale data processing is highly desirable.

Working Environment:

  • This is a 5-day onsite position in Tampa, FL. Candidates must be available to work onsite in the office.
