Job Descriptions :
The Cerner Ambulatory Solution Consultant/Lead/Architect crafts and oversees the solution architecture for Cerner Millennium s Ambulatory suite, ensuring outpatient workflows, provider documentation, and interfaces align with Adventist Health s patient-centered care objectives.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural design for Ambulatory workflows: scheduling, documentation (PowerChart Ambulatory), orders, and billing triggers.
- Define and enforce integration standards (HL7, FHIR) for ambulatory systems, patient portals, and external lab/radiology interfaces.
- Collaborate with offshore teams to translate architecture into low-level designs, data mapping guides, and interface specifications.
- Conduct technical impact analyses for system upgrades, optimizations, and module enhancements.
- Serve as escalation point for complex integration or performance issues; lead root-cause investigations and remediation.
- Mentor Solution Consultants and junior architects on ambulatory module best practices and configuration standards.
- Engage provider leadership, ambulatory operations, and revenue cycle teams to validate design assumptions and secure stakeholder buy-in.
Technical Skills & Certifications:
- Expert knowledge of Cerner Millennium Ambulatory modules and PowerChart Ambulatory.
- Proficiency in domain management for ambulatory-specific customizations.
Experience:
- 8 10 years implementing Cerner Ambulatory solutions, including design, customization, and integration.
- Proven track record of architecting outpatient clinical systems within multi-facility organizations.
Soft Skills:
- Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication.
- Strategic mindset with ability to align technical solutions to clinical and operational goals.
- Leadership presence and facilitation skills to drive consensus
