Job Description
Title: 7116 - Senior C# .NET Engineer (Must Reside in Sacramento, CA to be considered)
Location: Sacramento, CA
Duration: 12 months (option to extend up to 24 additional months)
Overview
Seeking an experienced Senior C# .NET Engineer with deep expertise in enterprise-scale .NET applications, architecture, and system integration. The consultant will design, develop, and optimize enterprise systems, mentor team members, and ensure alignment with established SDLC standards, security practices, and enterprise architecture.
Responsibilities
- Perform full SDLC activities for enterprise .NET applications.
- Architect, design, and implement distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant applications.
- Develop and maintain .NET (C#) web applications, WCF services, and RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and technical teams to gather and refine requirements.
- Create and maintain design models, technical documentation, functional specifications, and test plans.
- Conduct unit, integration, and system testing to ensure quality, security, and data integrity.
- Mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions and design reviews.
- Apply secure coding practices, governance standards, and enterprise IT best practices.
- Support Agile/SCRUM ceremonies and contribute to iterative delivery.
- Provide knowledge transfer to internal staff and ensure solutions are maintainable and extensible.
Minimum Technical Qualifications (Required)
- 10+ years of design, development, and implementation experience with enterprise-scale Microsoft .NET web applications and WCF services in C# for large Pension, Financial, or equivalent organizations.
- 10+ years of applying industry SDLC methodologies and adhering to enterprise IT standards.
- 10+ years of experience in testing, security, governance, and data integrity practices.
- 10+ years of experience as an Application Architect, with strong proficiency in design patterns (e.g., repository, factory) and building highly available, fault-tolerant applications.
- 5+ years of hands-on Agile/SCRUM experience, with proven communication skills to lead architectural decisions and explain complex concepts to business and technical stakeholders.
Desired Technical Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Hands-on with Microsoft Web API, ASP.NET MVC, and frameworks such as Angular.js or Knockout.js.
- Experience with HTML5, Bootstrap, and Telerik Kendo UI for responsive UI, including mobile clients.
- Ability to produce technical specifications, functional requirements, design models, and user documentation.
- Strong technical writing and mentoring skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Experience with enterprise Agile/SCRUM delivery; SAFe or equivalent certification a plus.
- Proficiency in source control solutions: Azure DevOps (TFS), Git, Visual Source Control.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
