The Role


As a Product Investigation Engineer, you'll serve as a critical technical bridge between Support, Operations, Sales, and Product Development. This hybrid role combines advanced troubleshooting, lightweight development, and problem-solving to resolve complex issues, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive continuous product improvement.


You'll dig deep into technical issues, step through code, identify root causes, and determine the best resolution path, whether it's configuration, code changes, or product enhancements.


Key Responsibilities



  • Debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues using diagnostic and coding skills.

  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify whether issues stem from configuration, defects, or enhancement needs.

  • Implement minor fixes and review/edit code when appropriate.

  • Troubleshoot integration issues across systems, databases, and third-party tools.

  • Collaborate with Support, Development, Sales, PMO, and VAR partners to resolve technical challenges.

  • Provide technical input for proof-of-concepts and customer-specific solutions.

  • Advise on configuration adjustments and scope enhancement requests.

  • Contribute to knowledge sharing through internal documentation and repositories.


About You


You're a hands-on problem solver with both technical depth and strong communication skills. You thrive at the intersection of support and development, enjoy reading and editing code, and can translate complex issues into actionable solutions for technical and non-technical teams alike.


Requirements:



  • Strong experience with technical support, software development, DevOps, or analyst/developer roles.

  • ERP, CRM, or Accounting Systems experience (distribution or retail environments preferred).

  • Proficiency in C# .NET and SQL Server (administration, optimization, scripting).

  • Experience with REST APIs, integrations, and troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with ReactJS, DevExpress, and ticketing systems.


Preferred:



  • Experience with CRM, BI, warehouse management, or logistics systems.

  • Background in B2B software or ERP implementations.

  • Industry experience in lumber, building materials, construction, or accounting.
