RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Integrated Architect in Alpharetta, GA.

About the Role:
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on cybersecurity architecture leader to join our organization as a Lead of Integrated Cybersecurity Architecture. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor and embedded partner to our product and engineering teams, helping guide secure design and implementation across both cloud-native and on-premises systems. You won't be setting abstract policy from afar-you will be in the trenches, bringing architectural guidance to life.

Key Tasks:
* Serve as the cybersecurity architecture point of contact for product and engineering teams, helping them understand and implement security design principles across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and on-prem environments
* Advise teams directly on architecture decisions, threat models, and secure control implementation as an integrated member of their workflows
* Translate security requirements into practical solutions that align with business objectives, ensuring systems are resilient, scalable, and compliant
* Collaborate with enterprise architecture and infrastructure teams to review current states, identify control gaps, and guide future-state security designs
* Support the development and iteration of infrastructure-as-code and platform-level controls, particularly within Spring-based and Struts-driven applications
* Help drive the decomposition of monolithic systems into secure, well-architected services
* Participate in and support incident response efforts to identify root causes and recommend long-term mitigation strategies
* Contribute to the evolution of cybersecurity reference architectures and advocate for consistent implementation across teams
* Partner with compliance, legal, and risk stakeholders to ensure architecture supports regulatory alignment (e.g., NIST, ISO, GDPR, GLBA)

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* 6+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or cybersecurity roles, with at least 4 years specifically focused on security architecture
* Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure-especially AWS-including familiarity with native services, IAM, and automation
* Deep understanding of modern architecture patterns including Zero Trust, containerization, DevSecOps, and software-defined networking
* Experience with threat modeling, control design, and application security in distributed systems
* Ability to clearly articulate security requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences, driving alignment across teams
* Hands-on knowledge of tools and frameworks including Spring, Struts, and supporting technologies used in monolith-to-microservice transformations
* Familiarity with authentication protocols and standards such as SAML, OAuth, OIDC, as well as secrets management and encryption strategies
* Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls
* Excellent consultative skills-you know how to guide without dictating, and you influence through credibility, clarity, and collaboration
* Experience working in Agile teams and supporting secure CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:
* Relevant certifications: CISSP, CISA, AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CEH, or OSCP
* Experience implementing or advising on cloud-native transformations in Fortune 1000 or mission-critical environments
* Proficiency with AWS security frameworks and tooling, including experience with container orchestration (e.g., EKS, Fargate, Lambda)
* Past experience in industries with complex regulatory requirements (e.g., finance, healthcare, telecommunications)
* Experience from a consulting environment or large-scale enterprise is a strong plus
