Contract ETL Developer
MUST be local to New York City, Hybrid Schedule, 5 out of 10 days onsite
We are seeking an experienced IT Developer to work on project requirements in Corporate IT. This is a challenging position requiring strong, proven experience in analysis, design, delivery, and production support and domains. The role provides solutions to business requirements for multiple complex projects in parallel to successfully suggest and deliver solutions for Information Technology, specifically for Compliance, Regulatory Reporting, and Operational Controls.
About the Role
Successful candidate must be experienced with identifying and analyzing technology and process problems, while developing solutions for tactical and/or strategic projects, in collaboration with Business and Technology stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design & Development ETL tasks and Tidal jobs including scheduling and dependencies (Python scripts)
- Maintain Tidal jobs across all environments (DEV, UAT & PROD)
- Maintain all ETL code in subversion repositories (DEV & TRUNK)
- Follow the company build & version control process using Jenkins & AZURE Dev Ops
- Set up FTP connections for data transmission supporting automated processes
- Support BA team with data analysis, with identification and extraction of correct data required, and suggest data extract rules
- Verify all job changes & promotions to UAT and prod environments
- Create Service Now tickets for all Tidal & ETL jobs
- Manage and track all time and tasks in JIRA
- Help set up and streamline various data extract processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Management of Information Systems, or related business discipline(s).
- 3-5 years work experience with IT or process engineering
- Process mapping/ process improvement experience
- Complex SQL query knowledge
- Python knowledge
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated, self-directed individual with the ability to work independently and in team environments
- Effective presentation skills, combined with extreme attention to detail
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Collaborative team player and relationship builder.
Required Skills
- Previous exposure/knowledge in developing IT solutions for Equity Compliance Regulations (e.g. CAT, CAIS, LOPR) at a bank desired.
