JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineering
REMOTE TYPE: Office
JOB LOCATION: 3400 W Plano Pkwy. Plano, TX 75075 [Hybrid position]
DUTIES: Lead the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems while having the opportunity to remain in a hands-on engineering role. Provide functional and technical leadership and mentor junior software engineers. Work with other lead engineers, engineers, architects, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify technical and functional needs of systems based on priority. Writing great quality code with a relentless passion for automated testing and validation. Enforce company policies in the areas of development methodology, architecture, security, change, automation, configuration management and compliance. Perform complex engineering activities for performance tuning, monitoring, deployment and production support. Implement, maintain and update CICD pipelines using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins and Sonar. Follow Security first approach in development to minimize application vulnerabilities. Utilize application delivery. Build Java-based high-volume/high-transaction applications. Analyze and tune applications and databases for better performance. Work on architecture and design of systems using microservices architecture. Implement, maintain and update CICD pipelines using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins and Sonar. Utilize XML technologies XSLT, XPATH, SAX and DOM. Configure application servers Weblogic and Wildfly. Work with UNIX/BASH scripting. Troubleshoot production issues using application logs, monitoring tools Dynatrace, ELK. Produce design artifacts using UML. Utilize Java/Groovy, REST Services, Cassandra, Oracle Kafka/IBM MQ, Redis, Git, Jira, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing application delivery; building Java-based high-volume/hightransaction applications; analyzing and tuning applications and databases for better performance; working on architecture and design of systems using microservices architecture; building web applications using Java, Spring, And REST; implementing, maintaining and updating CICD pipelines using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins and Sonar; utilizing XML technologies XSLT, XPATH, SAX and DOM; configuring application servers Weblogic and Wildfly; working with UNIX/BASH scripting; troubleshooting production issues using application logs, monitoring tools Dynatrace, ELK; producing design artifacts using UML; and utilizing Java/Groovy, REST Services, Cassandra, Oracle Kafka/IBM MQ, Redis, Git, Jira, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
