Job Details

This is 100% onsite work position based in Tallahassee, FL. Apply only if you are willing to relocate.

Position: Internet/Web Architect

Education: Bachelor s degree or master s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or other related field is required. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the educational requirement.

Required Experience:

  1. IT work experience with demonstrated knowledge in architecture design, software development, database management systems and systems integration in multi-platform environments
  2. Experience working on multiple projects as a project leader or frequently as the subject matter expert;
  3. Experience working on projects/issues of medium to high complexity that require demonstrated
  4. knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments; and
  5. Experience with coaching and mentoring more junior technical staff

Preferred Experience:

  1. Proven experience leading large-scale digital transformation or modernization initiatives involving legacy system replacement;
  2. Experience designing solutions in hybrid environments (on-premise, cloud, and integrate Software as a Service/Commercial off the Shelf [SaaS/COTS];
  3. Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies;
  4. Strong experience in Waterfall project management;
  5. Expertise in web technologies such as JavaScript (React, Angular, Vue), HTML/CSS (HyperText Markup Language/Cascading Style Sheets), REST Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Node.js, .NET, or Java;
  6. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud and their architecture patterns;
  7. Deep understanding of data modeling, databases, and system interoperability;
  8. Ability to develop scalable, secure, and maintainable web architectures across diverse technology stacks;
  9. Experience creating target state architecture diagrams, transition roadmaps, and system interface designs;
  10. Ability to evaluate and SaaS/COTS solutions into enterprise ecosystems;
  11. Experience with application rationalization and technical debt reduction strategies;
  12. Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, Quality Assurance (QA), business analysts, and product owners;
  13. Experience in mentoring development teams and ensuring architectural consistency across projects;
  14. Capable of presenting architectural decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders; and
  15. Strong vendor management experience, including assessing technical fit of third-party

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for gathering business requirements and translating them into Internet/Web architecture to achieve business objectives;
  2. Analyzes assigned specifications, planning, designing, and developing solutions, utilizing appropriate Internet/Intranet/Extranet architecture processes that support a wide range of content, either individually or in collaboration with project team members;
  3. Provides necessary documentation for object design decisions, estimating assumptions, applets, and performance metrics, as required by organizational architecture process standards or as assigned; and
  4. Responsible for minimizing issues between client and server applications and for the overall setup and design of the Internet and Web server architecture
