Job Title: TECHNICAL WRITER

Location: 100% in office (2BROADWAY-NEW YORK(NY) Consultants might be asked to work in different MTA offices/Sites as required (all located at MTA service areas).

Duration: 1YEAR

Work Hour: 35 hours /per week(with a 2-week mandatory vacation per year (unpaid) will be compulsory)

Background: The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) operates in the New York City metropolitan area, southern New York State, Long Island, and portions of New Jersey and Connecticut. This network encompasses underground and under-river subway, rail, and vehicular tunnels; elevated transit structures; rail yards and bus depots; as well as subway, rail, and bus stations and maintenance facilities. The MTA Headquarters O ice of Security plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the Security Program across all MTA agencies, including NYCT, LIRR, MNR, B&T and MTAPD. To e ectively maintain a high level of preparedness and ensure that all security projects deliver measurable mitigation outcomes that safeguard MTA's customers, workforce, and assets, the O ice of Security must be adequately sta ed with qualified personnel. Without su icient support in this role, the execution of critical security objectives may be compromised-resulting in unmet goals, under-delivered initiatives, or the omission of essential protections from key programs. It will severely impact the department's ability to e ectively carry out its core mission and protect the mass transit system.

Objectives: The Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the MTA HQ O ice of Security by overseeing and managing a portfolio of security projects and providing support to senior management in developing strategies and facilitating priorities. This individual will ensure e ective collaboration among operating agency stakeholders, monitor and track project tasks/progress, support project managers advancing initiatives and assist in development of security initiatives, policies, and procedures. Key responsibilities include comprehensive project management, with a strong emphasis on budget management, scope development and developing exec- level presentations. The coordinator will monitor and track security needs, ensuring projects align with established timelines, financial constraints, and MTA security standards. This includes preparing presentations, facilitate discussion with internal and external stakeholders, tracking progress against milestones, and ensuring alignment with departmental objectives. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams-including IT, Procurement, Legal, and others-to facilitate the execution of security initiatives. Additional duties include preparing executive-level presentations, identifying and resolving resource gaps, and recommending emerging technologies and qualified security vendors based on thorough market research and analysis.

Key Deliverables: x

Agency Security Programs: Support the evaluation and continuous improvement of MTA security programs by assisting in performance reviews and identifying areas for enhancement

x Project Support: Assist in monitoring budgets, reporting and developing the MTA video library including tracking footage for operational insight and incident documentations

x Project Tracking & Performance Metrics: Track and monitor all assigned projects and provide regular update to leadership.

x Stakeholder Coordination & Policy Review: Stakeholder engagement and coordinate to ensure that all security systems, protocols, and policies are reviewed and updated as needed

x Technology Research & Vendor Assessment: Assist in conducting research and evaluations of emerging security technologies and vendors, including AI surveillance and analytics tools.

x Presentation and Program support: Support the department on tracking/reporting on various tactical program (Drones, deployable camera development) as required.

x Budget Tracking & Reports: Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and prepare financial reports to ensure alignment with funding allocations and cost controls

Candidate shall possess the following qualifications/experience:

o A minimum of 1 3 years of professional work experience in a project coordination, project management role, with an emphasis on physical security or technical system deployment.

o Candidate shall possess a bachelor's degree in the following area of studies or similar subjects: Project management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science or Systems or other applicable technical discipline.

o General familiarity and understanding of project management principles.

o A general understanding of video management system, security cameras.

o A general understanding of Basic IT communication and networking concept (protocols, encryption, virtual private networking, OS and computer resources allocation).

o General understanding of electrical principal in security/low voltage systems o General understanding of engineering design cycle and SDLC x Possess a valid US driver license.
