Network Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Administrator in Kalamazoo, MI.

Responsibilities:
* Network Administrator will oversee daily performance and health of multi-site networks to minimize downtime and maintain service levels
* Manage configuration, firmware updates, and lifecycle upgrades for networking equipment
* Use monitoring tools to detect performance degradations and resolve connectivity or security incidents
* Maintain and enforce network security policies, remote-access controls, and intrusion prevention measures
* Keep up-to-date documentation of network topology, configuration changes, and operational procedures
* As a Network Administrator, you will coordinate with third-party providers and hardware vendors to escalate and resolve issues
* Serve as advanced escalation support for complex network issues reported by operations teams
* Ensure backup, redundancy, and failover systems are tested and functioning to support business continuity

REQUIREMENTS:
* 4-7 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in enterprise network administration across multiple locations
* Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls and VPN administration
* Strong knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 switching and routing protocols
* Skilled in VLAN management, QoS, and wireless network optimization
* Soft Skills: Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills; Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Other: Flexibility for occasional after-hours support and travel between locations
* Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, PCNSA, or equivalent preferred
* Familiarity with common networking hardware preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
