Frontend Angular Developer with AWS

  • Contract Length: 12 months (potential for full-time conversion based on performance)
  • Location: Hybrid (Onsite at Owings Mills, MD office)

About the Team & Role

  • To Join the Platform Engineering team, responsible for developing cutting-edge technology solutions and scalable platforms that support various internal technology and business units.
  • The team manages a diverse portfolio of applications, all leveraging Angular for their user interfaces.
  • Applications built are functional tools (e.g., file transfer solutions, AWS account creation, workflow orchestration) rather than business-specific dashboards or metric-tracking platforms.

Role Expectations

  • Primary Focus: UI development for single-page applications (SPAs) using Angular.
  • Expected to work on one or two primary applications while remaining flexible in supporting other team projects.
  • UIs follow consistent structural patterns, focusing on functionality rather than heavy visualization or dashboards.

Key Skills & Experience

Must-Have:

  • Angular (v15+) Current stack; adaptability to frequent upgrades.
  • TypeScript Essential, used alongside Angular.
  • AWS Strong understanding of infrastructure and deployment processes.
  • Git Proficiency Ability to use Git for code management.
  • Unit Testing Familiarity with tools such as Jest (or similar).

Nice-to-Have / Bonus:

  • Java/Spring Boot Full-stack capability is a plus.
  • Automated UI Testing Playwright experience is beneficial.
  • Backend Unit Testing Knowledge of JUnit and related frameworks.
  • CI/CD Familiarity Uses GitLab for CI/CD (though pipeline modifications are handled by infrastructure teams).
