Frontend Angular Developer with AWS
- Contract Length: 12 months (potential for full-time conversion based on performance)
- Location: Hybrid (Onsite at Owings Mills, MD office)
About the Team & Role
- To Join the Platform Engineering team, responsible for developing cutting-edge technology solutions and scalable platforms that support various internal technology and business units.
- The team manages a diverse portfolio of applications, all leveraging Angular for their user interfaces.
- Applications built are functional tools (e.g., file transfer solutions, AWS account creation, workflow orchestration) rather than business-specific dashboards or metric-tracking platforms.
Role Expectations
- Primary Focus: UI development for single-page applications (SPAs) using Angular.
- Expected to work on one or two primary applications while remaining flexible in supporting other team projects.
- UIs follow consistent structural patterns, focusing on functionality rather than heavy visualization or dashboards.
Key Skills & Experience
Must-Have:
- Angular (v15+) Current stack; adaptability to frequent upgrades.
- TypeScript Essential, used alongside Angular.
- AWS Strong understanding of infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Git Proficiency Ability to use Git for code management.
- Unit Testing Familiarity with tools such as Jest (or similar).
Nice-to-Have / Bonus:
- Java/Spring Boot Full-stack capability is a plus.
- Automated UI Testing Playwright experience is beneficial.
- Backend Unit Testing Knowledge of JUnit and related frameworks.
- CI/CD Familiarity Uses GitLab for CI/CD (though pipeline modifications are handled by infrastructure teams).
