About the Role
We're seeking a hands-on Snowflake Engineer with FiveTran experiene
Must-Have Technical Skills
Snowflake Administration (Not ETL)
End-to-end ownership of schema creation, table setup, user management, and performance tuning
Experience with configuration, warehouse scaling, optimization, backups, troubleshooting, and monitoring disk/query performance
Comfortable with checking thresholds, analyzing warehouse blocking, and remediating query slowness
Replication Tools (FiveTran or HVR)
Must have solid experience with creating locations and channels. replication flow, agent monitoring, latency analysis
Scripting & Querying - must have some language to connect db with Snowflake
Strong SQL skills (T-SQL preferred) for writing and troubleshooting complex queries or ask if they have worked with Python for automation, performance analysis, and orchestrating workflows
Nice to have - RDBMS Platform Experience
Please be clear on which database platform(s) you've worked with, as this will determine your interview path.
Oracle: User and schema setup, pipeline management
DB2 (On-Prem): AIX/DB2 utilities like backup, reorg, runstats, rebind
SQL Server: Familiarity with general usage and indexing strategies
Nice to have - AWS Cloud Exposure
Snowflake environment managed within AWS
Familiarity with services such as:
o RDS, DMS, S3, Glue, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, Redis
