Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As the Advanced Test Engineer, you'll participate in the planning and development of test plans, test procedures and possibly test harnesses for systems of systems. You'll be developing and conducting functional, operational, environmental, and/or performance tests on hardware, software and systems.

Utilizing your expert knowledge and understanding of test engineering concepts and principles, the tests you'll define and conduct will ensure proper operation of systems developed in an agile development process.

You'll be expected to:
  • Develop top-notch deliverable test plans and test procedures
  • Conduct iterative, structured integration and testing in a lab environment on a scheduled, regular basis
  • Interact with a wide variety of functional representatives during all phases of development
  • Help troubleshoot and/or gather sufficient data to conduct troubleshooting of issues found
  • Interact with customer representatives on a regular basis prior to and during formal testing events
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites for integration, fielding and acceptance testing of hardware and software systems
  • Document formal test results

What you bring to the table:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with test engineering concepts, principles and theories, system processes and scripting languages
  • Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong technical writing abilities
