    Location: St. Petersburg, FL
    Duration: 12 months
    Schedule: Hybrid Required onsite every Tuesday and Wednesday (third day flexible; field work counts as onsite)

    About the Role:


    We are seeking two experienced Telecom Engineers (Level IV) to join a dedicated engineering team responsible for the planning, implementation, and support of telecommunications systems that are critical to the electric grid. The ideal candidates will bring expertise in data network design, engineering documentation, and multi-project execution, while ensuring alignment with corporate architectural standards.

    This is a hands-on, collaborative role working with a multidisciplinary team and engaging with project managers and field teams to deliver quality network solutions with a high level of integrity and security.



    Key Responsibilities:




    • Plan, design, and maintain secure, high-performance data networks supporting electric grid operations.


    • Develop and write engineering/job packages with clear, actionable plans for implementation by others.


    • Collaborate across engineering disciplines and communicate effectively with project managers and team members.


    • Balance multiple active projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery to meet critical deadlines.


    • Ensure all design and execution activities adhere to federally mandated and internal business policies and procedures.


    • Participate in on-site reviews and field work as required.




    Required Qualifications:




    • Bachelor s degree in Engineering or related technical field


    • 7+ years of experience in telecommunications or data networking engineering


    • Proven experience developing engineering packages and implementation documentation


    • Strong background in telecom/data networking infrastructure and systems design


    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences


    • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking capabilities


    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects with fixed deadlines


    • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and in regulated environments


    • Valid driver's license




    Preferred Qualifications:




    • Experience supporting utility or electric grid environments


    • Knowledge of federal compliance requirements related to data/networking systems


    • Familiarity with industry-standard tools for network planning and architecture
