Role: SAP SD/VC Consultant (5285)
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 6+ months contract
Go-live: Feb 2025
Location: Chestnut Ridge, NY
Any project related travel outside of these two locations will be expensed.
Travel will be required at key times of project (testing, go live, kick-off etc). It is not expected to be a travel every week requirement.
Local on-site presence for local consultants would typically be 4 days per week which is Client's current on-site policy.

Project: S4 Implementation Project
Project is around 21 sites across the US and Europe – and we’re moving them from Baan and a few other small ERPs to the SAP S4 system using the Client's Global Template.
Go-live: Feb 2025

Ideally proven consultants that we’ve worked with before in the past.
Aerospace and defense experience is preferred
IMP points:
Mid – Senior – 3 to 4 implementations minimum. We anticipate some improvements needed to global template. We do have strong in house leads assigned to the project in each functional area that these consultants will be supporting. (over 20 site go-live in about 11 countries, though 95% of manufacturing is US based and core business members are all based in Chestnut Ridge, NY)
Basically we need local candidates or candidates who can relocate to client location. DO not consider candidates who will be travelling.

Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP SD Consultant with Variant Config experience to supplement our client’s internal SAP team as they roll out their SAP S/4 HANA global template to multiple sites in the USA and Europe. This consultant would be reporting to the client’s SAP SD Functional Lead Analyst.
The SD Business analyst analyzes complex business problems to be solved with SAP (ECC and S/4 HANA) and other associated business applications. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective, offer enhanced business performance and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit and integration testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Design, configuration, and functional experience in the SD modules is essential and understanding of other SAP modules would be of great benefit to the role.
Skills required:
Understand the opportunities, quoting, sales order entry, shipping and invoicing side of the business and how SAP can best be used to meet business objectives.
Solution design for all projects in the opportunities, quoting, sales order entry, shipping and invoicing side functional areas – including associated integrations with other systems and other functional areas.
Strong SAP technical, configuration, and business area knowledge in SD module. Be able to configure the module at a project level.
Familiarity with Variant Configuration required and experience implementing in at least one implemented with Sales BOM based functionality.
Translate user’s requests into application system solutions. Analyze system user requirements to define and design system configuration, enhancements, and modifications
Work in multidisciplinary teams to define and design complex processes and procedures for the configuration SAP
Define requirements for specific forms/reports
Design test plans, execute test scenarios, validate test data, and document test results
Assist with updating end-user documentation, coordinate end-user training documentation and train end users as required.
Strong user experience and project experience of SAP and detailed SAP technical configuration knowledge and business process knowledge of SAP SD Module and Variant Configuration. Knowledge of Export Compliance a plus
Experience with configuration of pricing procedures in a multi factory / multiple country environment and associated ATP configuration mandatory. Familiarity with integration with Ship Exec and experience working at multiple corporations a plus.
Prior experience in an S/4 environment preferred – including ability to articulate differences from R/3 to S/4.
Familiar with working in an integrated SAP environment with single controlling area across multiple countries and multiple functions working across multiple company codes and regions.
Proven understanding of database applications, system development, report writing, and SAP ERP.
Knowledge of SAP Best practices
