Job Duties

The .Net Developer develops, tests, implements, and maintains software solutions in support of the goals of VRS, and troubleshoots solutions when they fail to provide the expected results. The incumbent provides software solutions as required to meet business goals and objectives, performing analysis of business requirements, and producing technical designs to meet the needs of the business. In addition, this role contributes to the technology team's development, providing colleagues' support as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide comprehensive software solutions to meet business needs, including conducting analysis, designing, developing, and testing solutions, and creating documentation.
Conduct data analysis and produce reports as required.
Develop and implement quality control measures.
Participate in a team environment, supporting colleagues and conducting peer reviews as necessary.
Convert data into information for reporting metrics.
Participate in cross-hierarchal teams and contribute to improving services across agency lines.
Effectively works with all levels of management and staff to improve processes and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a closely-related field. Must have a minimum of three years of experience in front-end development, including experience with ASP, .Net, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, SSIS, and SSRS. Experience in debugging and analysis is required, and experience in developing large, complex, interconnected systems on various software platforms is preferred. Other education and experience may be considered.

Additional Considerations

Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices, and the ability and desire to learn new technologies.

Demonstrated troubleshooting skills, problem resolution abilities, and customer service skills. Ability to work with incomplete information and develop suitable solutions to meet business needs. Ability to work as part of a team, accepting and providing guidance amongst team members as appropriate. Abilities to effectively communicate; prioritize; deal with multiple and changing priorities; meet deadlines.

The current hybrid schedule for technology employees is 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and 2 days remote (Monday and Friday). All employees must be able to work the current hybrid schedule and report to the office as needed on designated remote days.
