Summary:

\n

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains production equipment and buildings to company standard.

\n

\n

Job Duties:

\n

The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • PC to PLC program maintenance, troubleshooting, and control devices
  • \n
  • Effectively use hand tools and electric or pneumatic power tools
  • \n
  • Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on equipment
  • \n
  • Read electrical schematics
  • \n
  • Diagnose cause of electrical and mechanical failure of operational equipment
  • \n
  • Set up new equipment lines and equipment changeovers
  • \n
  • Train production and other maintenance personnel
  • \n
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and complete projects on due dates
  • \n
  • Work on electrical systems up to 480 VAC
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge in motor control circuits, automated valves and process controls
  • \n
  • Ensure that all processes are followed
  • \n
  • Complete daily work order log
  • \n
  • Complete PM s as assigned
  • \n
  • Follow parts check out procedure
  • \n
  • Follow all GMP standards
  • \n
  • All other duties as assigned
  • \n

Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • Associate Degree in Electrical Maintenance preferred or High School Diploma plus at least three years of related experience
  • \n
  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • \n
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis
  • \n
  • Experience with a Windows-based computer system (Microsoft Office programs and Maintenance Work Order software)
  • \n
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as blueprints, schematics, work orders, etc.
  • \n
  • Ability to write standard documentation and effectively present information to other employees
  • \n
  • This position may require forklift certification
  • \n
